Why would god allow people to worship god for a miracle that god knows never happened?

First, God should be spelled with a capital 'G'. Next people should not curse God. Finally, why would God allow people to worship for a miracle, whether it happens or not? Finally, few people worship him 'for a miracle', but we are given free will, and give glory and thanks to God for all He has done. So the real answer is 'free will'.
