Is there such a thing as being excessively nosy (mothers) and why does it happen?

It's really obvious that your mother is being over protective then I read some articles in the net that parents should check their children's phone (inbox) to see what is going on to their life ,but it's too much and its making their children annoy.I observe this many times that whenever their children become mature or growing up they become over protective and sometimes they doesn't trust you, but you have to prove them many times in order to regain their trust like you have to text or call them whenever you come back from work.The reason why they do this because they love you and they're worried about your life being an adult I hope this will help ;3
